It's funny how much we can't see in ourselves when we're younger. How we never think we'll change with passing time and how much we end up doing so after all.
The things that have more permanence, our choices for the future, for one, never seem to show their true faces when we take them in at first, do they? We can only learn to make the right steps, little by little, by never ignoring our innate ability to root out right from wrong, and finding guidance when we can't see what's right.
Addiction wasn't a disease that I caught like cancer, it was the result of some decisions I made and my priorities at the time. Luckily this just means I got rid of it by making different decisions and having different priorities. It was inside me to be healthy all along.

Another year has rolled by us, and I thank a lot of you for showing me:
-Accept (and then expect) life to be imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete. There is happiness here if you can.
-A bad choice can age well if you really care for it to. Forgive yourself and never repeat it.
-Stop worrying about what you may lose if you want to change for the better (even if it hurts).
-Feed your good wolf more than your bad wolf.
Happy five years to me!
